Axxess AXTO-VW1 Volkswagen Data Interface for Factory Radio Upgrades

The AXTO-VW1 is designed to work with both amplified and non-amplified factory audio systems, including select Volkswagen vehicles equipped with premium Fender® audio systems. By communicating with the vehicle’s data network, the interface provides the signals needed for proper aftermarket radio operation while helping preserve the original factory features.
The interface provides 12-volt accessory power, allowing compatible aftermarket radios to turn on and off with the vehicle while retaining the factory R.A.P. feature. It also provides important navigation and vehicle outputs including parking brake, reverse, mute, and vehicle speed sense signals, helping simplify installation of modern touchscreen receivers and navigation systems.
The AXTO-VW1 includes a pre-wired connection for an Axxess steering wheel control interface, allowing retention of factory steering wheel audio controls when paired with the appropriate Axxess module. It also helps retain balance and fade controls on compatible systems, although fade retention may not be available on certain Fender® audio configurations.
Featuring a Micro-B USB update port, the AXTO-VW1 can be updated with the latest firmware to support current vehicle applications and installation requirements. This update capability helps installers maintain compatibility as vehicle integration technology continues to evolve.
