You can prioritize your three home screens so you can quickly find the apps you want like Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, Camera, Bluetooth® functions, and more. Add a customizable wallpaper from your photos through a thumb drive.
APPLE CARPLAY
The iLX-407 “Works with Apple CarPlay” and lets iPhone users make and receive calls, access text messages, play music, and get directions in a way that allows them to stay focused on the road. Apple CarPlay is accessed through the capacitive touch screen or the mic button to activate Siri voice control and is compatible with iPhone 5 and later (iPhone must be connected via Apple lightning cable).
More Entertainment Options
While the iLX-407 is mech-less (no CD/DVD player), you still have plenty of entertainment options that will make every drive exciting. A rear USB port allows you to listen to your music or video file via USB or connect your smartphone to access your music by searching song title, artist info, or album. The iLX-407 has built-in HD Radio® and can also connect to Pandora® Internet Radio through your iPhone® or Android™ smartphone. SiriusXM® Radio is also available with an optional tuner and paid subscription. And HDMI input is available should you choose to connect a CD or DVD player for all-digital audio and video connection through a single cable.
Retains Factory Controls
Upgrading dash technology can often result in a loss of factory functionality, such as climate controls and vehicle function settings. The iLX-407 is compatible with the iDatalink® Maestro Module (sold separately) so select OEM features are retained and vehicle information is displayed on the screen.
POWERSTACK™ CAPABLE
Measuring at only 2.4” deep, the iLX-407 can fit into vehicles that don’t have a lot of space behind the dashboard. The shallow chassis is optimized to mount either the KTA-450 4-channel or KTA-200M Mono Power Pack Amplifiers (sold separately). Alpine’s award-winning PowerStack™ design adds more power to your sound system while occupying the same depth as a traditional 2-DIN radio.
ANDROID AUTO
The iLX-407 includes Android Auto and works with the Google Assistant (requires both a USB cable and Bluetooth® connection; requires an Android™ phone running 5.0 [Lollipop] or higher and the Android Auto app). To access the Google Assistant on Android Auto, say "OK Google" or select the mic button. Google Assistant in Android Auto allows users to play their favorite music, get driving directions to their destination, interact with smart home devices and reply to text messages – hands-free.
Add a Rear Camera and More
See your drive on a 7-inch, anti-glare screen with dual camera inputs that allow you to add a front or rear-view camera to your vehicle. The iLX-407 comes with a built-in rearview camera distance guide display that makes blind spots a distant memory.
Expansive Audio Tools
Get the most from your music by using the 5-band graphic equalizer and 6-channel time correction tool to customize the sound the way you want it. If you’re looking for more power, add additional amplifiers using the three sets of true 4V preamp outputs with subwoofer level control on the third set.
Alpine KTA-450
AWARD-WINNING POWERSTACK COMPATIBILITY
The KTA-450 can mount behind select Alpine 2-DIN mech-less head units, like the iLX-W650, using the included bracket. The KTA-450s recessed harness receptacle allows the wiring to fold between it and the head unit so both products fit in a standard 2-DIN space. This PowerStack design is a 2019 CES Innovation Awards winner and makes the duo one of the most powerful 2-DIN radios available.
EXCLUSIVE AMPLIFIER TECHNOLOGY, DYNAMIC PEAK POWER (DPP)
The KTA-450 features Alpines exclusive Dynamic Peak Power (DPP). DPP intelligently adjusts the gain to adapt to musical needs. DPP prevents the KTA-450 from clipping by supplying up to double the power for sudden, dynamic sounds. DPP ensures music sounds the way it should at high volumes and boosts the KTA-450 to 400 watts DPP, doubling its power without increasing its size.
COMPACT SIZE FOR HIDDEN INSTALLATION APPLICATIONS
The KTA-450 measures just 7 W x 3.5 H x 1.25 D. For vehicles that do not have the space for a traditional amplifier, the KTA-450s small size allows it to be tucked away in hidden areas such as in the glove box or behind the radio. It could even be used in a motorcycles saddlebag or on a boat.
SIMPLE INSTALLATION FOR USE WITH ANY RADIO
Thanks to the efficient power needs of the DPP technology, the KTA-450 does not require a new power supply wire at the battery, so installation is fast using the supplied radio power wires. In addition, the KTA-450 uses a 22-pin power harness with a recessed design on one side, so the cables can be tucked-in for a cleaner, less-bulky installation.
