This subwoofer boasts a carbon fiber/polypropylene cone for lightweight strength and a High-Amplitude Multi-Roll (HAMR) rubber surround for enhanced excursion, resulting in more accurate and impactful bass. It's engineered to handle up to 600 watts RMS and 1800 watts peak power, delivering a frequency response of 23-215 Hz. Housed in a sturdy MDF enclosure with attractive black carpet and a sleek black and silver trim, the S2-SB12 is built to last and complement your vehicle's interior. The wedge-shaped design makes it easier to find the perfect spot for installation. The S2-SB12 is also equipped with integrated RGBW lighting built into the enclosure trim. This allows you to customize the look of your system with 12 static colors and 4 dynamic lighting modes. Control the lights with the included IR remote or sync them with a compatible Alpine iLX-W670 head unit (sold separately) for seamless control. To create a truly immersive bass experience, you can link multiple S2-SB12 enclosures together using the optional KTX-LK12 linking kit (sold separately). This allows you to build a synchronized, multi-subwoofer system that delivers room-filling bass with synchronized lighting effects. The Alpine S-A60M mono subwoofer amplifier is the ideal companion for the S2-SB12. It's designed to deliver 600 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms, ensuring that your subwoofer receives the power it needs to deliver deep, impactful bass. The amplifier features a variable low-pass filter (50-400 Hz, 24 dB/octave) and a variable bass boost (0-12 dB at 50 Hz) for precise control over your subwoofer's output. The S-A60M includes both preamp and speaker-level inputs, making it compatible with a wide variety of car audio systems, including those with factory-installed stereos. When using the speaker-level inputs, the amplifier has a signal-sensing turn-on feature, eliminating the need to run a separate turn-on wire.
